Thread has gone on the tap that turns shower on and off so shower is no longer operable. Unable to source spares online.
Richard Hopkins is very professional and proved very helpful. Once Richard determined we needed new parts he sourced them himself with a visit to a local plumbing outlet. The parts didn't have a manufacturing brand so he took photographs along with him. // He put in a temporary repair while I ordered new parts. When the parts arrived he arrived promptly to fit them. // Value was excellent. It wasn't a large or difficult job but determining that a couple of replacement parts was all we needed (and not a whole new shower unit) saved us from a larger, more expensive job. // A breath of fresh air. // Richard said he and his partner do larger jobs (bathrooms, kitchens) and he'd certainly be on my short-list for such projects.

My boiler had to be switched off yesterday as it was very sooty and now looking for someone to come and perform service so we can turn the heating back on.
Responded quickly to my request for help regarding our boiler being out of action, offered to be there the following day (which was a bank holiday) arrived at the agreed time, performed a full service on boiler which included removing a huge amount of soot. They also fixed a minor issue with a radiator and spent 2 hours on-site total invoice was £65. Very pleased and will use again.

Urgent replacement of section of hot water pipe between two radiators (currently leaking). Section needing to be replaced approx 3.5 metres long. Pipe is located in concrete floor (lying on... not buried in!)
I have no idea what normal prices are when it comes to plumbing: Ninety pounds seemed expensive for 15 minutes to fix a leak. However... Slimane is one of a rare bread of honest tradesmen who seem to care about doing the job properly. After our leak was fixed we switched our hot water and heating system back on, but failed to get the boiler to fire up... I called Slimane back to ask for suggestions and he was good enough to come all the way back on a Sunday morning (when he's not supposed to be working!) when I failed to get the heating going. It's great to find someone who is genuinely helpful....

I Have a macerator in a loft bedroom where on exit from the roof the waste pipe runs along inside the guttering. The pipe has a split, needs lagging and has become detached at a joint. It also needs lagging as it freezes in winter.

We have recently had a combination boiler installed which has increasd the water pressure to the bathroom. Our existing shower head is not permanenetly fixed to the wall and because of the increased pressure either comes off the wall hook or lifts up and directs water outside of the bath onto the surrounding floor. We require a fixed shower head - probably of a larger circumference which directs the water straight downwards. I appreciate we may need to replace the entire tap set in order to have a new shower head.
