I have just bought a property that has been repossessed and need the water switched back on - a big sticker on taps says system has been drained and only a professional should switch it back on
Had shower installed. Was supposed to have some electrics done as well, electrician never turned up. Took 4 days off work and waited, cancelled job in the end. 2 months later water is dripping through ceiling from shower. Bad luck - only a 30 day guarantee. Took today off to get them to fix it, but somebody's van has broken down and they can't come unless I pay for van! 5 days off work in total with noone showing up. Have now decided to find someone else to fix leak, not to mention repairing plastering.

it sounds quite daft, and it probably is... my pilot light has gone out and I can't get it to re-light despite having all of the instructions, even the installation instructions. I also fitted some iTerrier thermostats on individual radiators around the house and I'm not sure if they've knackered the system up, I've re-fitted the original thermostats on 2 of them as they had begun to leak. the boiler was only recently serviced by someone I found on here.
I had a fairly stupid problem which required very little work. Martin was very understanding and helped me out. The work undertaken was done quickly, he came out within hours of me posting on here and charged me a very very reasonable rate. His number is in my phone and I will use him again.
