Just moved into the property and after using the basin, the water leaks from the basin but we're not sure where or how. The landlord is saying this about it: "In only one month, a new leak from the upstairs bathroom has occurred. This is due to neglect of the tenants. This presents a serious threat to the structure of the property and could potentially incur thousands of pounds of damage." I believe he is wrong and that there was and is and inherent leak or problem that was a pre-existing condition and has appeared through use. I would like a professional look at the problem and a written appraisal we can pass on to the landlord.
Came at short notice the next day, very honest, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I live in a Victorian Terrace off Mill Road in Cambridge. My bathroom is on the first floor above the kitchen at the back of the house in an extension. Two things have happened in the last 2 days 1) On Tuesday morning, the guttering just below the roof above the bathroom fell down. I've already started a separate job/request on RatedPeople about that, and someone is coming to see it on Monday 2) Today, I find that if we turn on any of the taps in the bathroom, the water is now ejected directly out of a pipe sticking out of the outside wall, just below the bathroom. This never used to happen, and I don't see how the guttering could have caused it, but thought it worth mentioning. I don't understand what can have changed to make the water come out like that.
Fixed and dealt with promptly and without fuss. Absolutely great.

Water dripping down wall of kitchen directly below bath on floor above. Leak stops when bath not used. Bath has been not used for 1 week now. Have not taken panel of (carronite) bath off (have been away). Some staining on corner of ceiling of kitchen.
Bruce was great - appeared promptly and got the job done without fuss. I wish I had done this rating/review as rapidly as he did his work (- this is months after he did the work :-(

Water and drainage to shed at back of garden. Replace at least 3 radiators plus install thermostat valves. Remove tank and extraneous pipe work from the loft. Fit new cloakroom toilet and sink, requires some stud work and soil pipe to be moved.

I have a shower which drips (just one lever, therefore concentric controlled?). I think the brand is Sirrus. I have been previously told by a plumber that I needed to replace the entire cartridge in order to fix this, costing somewhere upwards of £150! is an alternative way around this, is it more cost-effective to replace the whole shower or is my best option to replace the cartridge as previously advised. Hunting around on the Internet, this might be the right part… But I'm not qualified to know. how much would it cost to buy a new shower? (I live in an area with very high limescale. Do not know if this is something to take into consideration).
