The installation, from the 1970's, developed a leak at one of the pipe joints to one of the two hot water cisterns. The cistern without the leak was heated from roof mounted solar panels which were removed two years ago, leaving some redundant pipework in the loft. It is intended to replace the leaking cistern with either the ex solar panel unit or obtain a new cistern and remove the solar panel cistern along with the redundant pipework in the loft.
