When we turn on hot water taps up on full blast (in any of the rooms), we get a rattling sound in the pipes. When the cold water is then turned on, the noise stops. We tried installing a suppressor but it didn't help. Does anyone know the problem and can anyone help? Thanks

I had plumbernine come in for some work on the element in my Dad's water cylinder and I arranged it over the phone easily with him. I haven't been able to see the finished job but I'm told everything works fine and he sounded very competent and trustworthy so I'm happy. The quality rating has yet to be assessed in person but I imagine it is at least 'not bad'.

I was very badly let down by previous plumber, rang Sevket who rectified mistake made by previous plumber and came out on Sunday am and didnt charge me emergency call out fees unlike other Co's. The cold tap in our kitchen has stopped working: it turns okay, but no water comes out. The hot tap is fine, and the cold & hot taps in the bathroom work too. The outside cold tap, which we're pretty sure uses the same pipe as the broken tap also works okay. So we think it must be a problem with the tap itself - may be the washer? I'm due to have a baby any day (my due date is tomorrow!) so would like to get this fixed asap.
Great to have found an excellent local plumber. He got the job done quickly for a reasonable price and is a very nice bloke! We will contact him again next time we need a plumber, and would definitely recommend him to others.

The temperature of the hot water is very low in the shower. We live in a building whereby the hot water comes from a communal boiler (located outside the property). Our property managing agents have suggested (based on them being advised by their consultants) that the problem lies with the internal plumbing of the bathroom rather than the external plumbing through which the water from the communal boilers come to our flat. We had previously changed the thermostat of the bathroom thinking that, that may have been the problem but the issue is still not resolved.

Our sabre combi boiler (28 Vokera) tonight started making some strange noise when we were using hot water. As we tried to switch on the heating we realised it did not work. Now hot water is working properly but heating is not working at all, with the temporary fault light constantly blinking. We would need urgently a plumber to look into this and make the necessary repairs, thanks

" I tried the tap next to the shower which ran hot for about 5 minutes then went freezing cold too. I tried turning the shower on/off from the main switch outside the bathroom and numerous attempts to change the switches on the shower but nothing worked." Hi, I am looking for a Plumber / Electrician because of the nature of the jobs:- 1. To fit an over counter water heater in a office kitchen, maybe 3 or 5 ltr, need advise about what will fit into the space. I have printed off some examples for the web. It's just so the office can have hot water to wash up with twice a day without the heating having to be on. 2. The cord of a bathroom heater has come off, the heater is only a few months old, so just needs to be reattached. 3. Our kitchen sink needs looking at, it's loose. 4. Generally we have a meeting room door which is draging along the floor & crunching as it has come out of alignment & needs looking at, heavy door so will need at least two men to fix.
