"While the blockage was resolved successfully, and the plumbers were quite prompt and friendly, I was not happy with 2 other things: 1. Acid was used to clear the blockage, causing damage to the wastepipe, although I had been assured this would not happen. 2. A valve was installed, and charged for unnecessarity, as there was one in place already, but the plumbers did not spot it. Cutting the pipe to install the valve caused a small leak, which was dealt with immediately. I'm pleased with the resolution of the blockage, but am now worried that the pipe has been compromised and damaged."
