Our central heating has stopped working. The combi boiler we have still supplied hot water, but we think the pump might have broken.
Excellent service. The guy turned up, gave me a (very reasonable) quote for the job and stuck to the price even though it took a little longer than he'd anticipated. And he did a top job too. I'll certainly be using Steady Flow again, and recommending him to my mates.

I require a plumber to install/make good a water stop cock for a converted top floor flat. We currently cannot turn off the water to the flat except by using a stop cock for the whole building located in another flat. We have a couple of suspects for an internal stop cock but neither are usable due to the way they've been installed. Secondary job - I have a couple of dead-end gas pipes where a boiler/tank has been removed - I'd like to get the ends removed and hidden under floor boards. I had a small but fiddly job for Terry who came to give me a quote quickly, gave a great price and did the work the following weekend in a matter of hours. I would like to have the system assessed by someone who can tell what will be causing the problem, and then recommended improvements I can make, such as new parts that will make it more reliable. We need to replace an old lead main pipe. Currently it’s running from the stopcock in the entrance of the building under the concrete slab to the back where it’s connected to newer pipes in the bathroom. We want to replace this entire length of pipe but we don’t want to run under the building. We would like to bring it up from the stopcock in the entrance and run it along a wall beside the gas pipe to the bathroom in the back of the building. All work would be carried out on ground floor level. We would like to start the work first or second week of April. As far as we know the work would consist of the following tasks; 1. Install a pipe from the stopcock in a hatch under the concrete floor to the floor surface. This would most likely involve drilling or trenching about 0.5 meters in concrete. 2. Install a pipe along the existing gas pipe, about 6-8 meters. The pipe will have to go through two walls (wood or plasterboard). 3. Connect new pipe to pipework in the bathroom. The bathroom sink must be removed for this work (we might have removed it already). 4. Re-connect pipes, test system, re-install bathroom sink. 5. Removal of rubbish.

My bathroom sink currently has the draining pipe running verticle out of the vanity unit along the wall and into the side of the bath to join the rest of the bath pipes. This is causing the sink not to drain as there is no fall in the pipe. I need this pipe re-postions so the water runs down it, this also means cutting a new hole in the vanity case and filling the one thats there now.
