1930's two storey semi in Downend. Rainwater coming in the bedroom ceiling. Leak coming in via the roof slope abutment with the chimney stack. Likely requires re-rendering the lower half of the stack, repointing the top half and reforming the abutment flashings etc.
GRS corresponded promptly, and didn't need to chase them from start to finish. The operatives were friendly, polite and helpful and carried out the repairs to the roof/stack to a good standard. They were conscientious and tidy. Would not hesitate in recommending them.

Updated : Edited to add; to include removal of old ballast and felt. Am considering EPDM or Fibreglass and NOT a felt replacement. Original : Re-roofing an approx 5.5m x 3.5m flat roof single storey extension to a detached house with a 3m x 1.5m small extension off of this positioned like a 'toe' on a boot - all the same level. All currently ballasted with felt under. Of the 5.5m sides, one is free, though there is a chimney protuding into the extension a short way half way along and this side also has a brick upstand. The other side has c.1.5m of the smaller extension protuding from it and has a lower, flat, felted garage roof alongside it. The 3.5m sides of the extension butt against the house at one end and a higher garden wall at the other end. The smaller extension butts against the higher wall on one 3m side, whilst the short edge and other 3m edge are free. There is guttering on the 3m free edge of the smaller extension (over a lower garage roof which runs alongside the 5.5m free edge). Where it butts the house, higher wall and upstand there is currently lead flashing to the higher wall and house. The felt runs up the upstand and ends on the underside of capping stones on one 5.5m side, and laps downwards behind a plastic trim on the other 5.5m side. Access is via the rear of the property (gate and around the back) or via the garage roof which fronts the drive.
Stuart was the first to respond, and very quickly. Turned up on time to quote (which seems to be a novelty based upon my experience with trying to get a patio done) and also on time to do the job. Very tidy work and did a good job. One small snag I noticed on inspection on late Friday afternoon after they had left before I came home was fixed the next morning. I'd recommend GSPR.

Tiled pitch roof on single storey utility room. Felt soakers perished, some cracked tiles and lead flashing not properly fitted. Need soakers, tiles and flashing replaced.
Steve is one of the few trademen who still takes pride in his work. He treats your roof as though it is his own. I would recommend him to anyone and would definitely use him again.

I THINK THE CHIMNEY FLASHING NEEDS REPLACING AS WATER IS COMING DOWN ONE SIDE INSIDE ROOF.

Rear extension with shallow slope (full width of house) with major leak in one corner and non-lead flashing over half width. Roughly 10% poorly matched replacement tiles. Therefore need to replace any rotten rafters/battens, install lead flashing and either match and replace poor fitting tiles or re-tile whole roof with new. Also some other small odd jobs available for quote including repair to damaged front door
Really happy with the work done and Lee checking everything with us as he undertook the work.

I'm not sure
2 Velux windows leaking a little in heavy rain - need these repaired. Then need estimate for full reroofing of single storey dining room and kitchen extension plus replacement of guttering plus rerendering on side wall. Roof is tiled (some broken but I have around 20 spares), pitched, has two Velux windows and is above large patio doors. Extends over kitchen and round side of house over utility and toilet. Guttering above patio doors is in wrong position and needs replacing. No guttering at present along side of house but water drips off edge - hence rendering being lifted. May need scaffolding.
Very good quality. High integrity but, boy, did it take a long time. Having said that, I would use them again. They may have different ideas, though. I did ring often to see when they were coming back to do the next bit. Always very friendly, always left things clean and tidy.

We currently have a shared (semi-d) chimney stack with 4 pots on it - we would like 3 capped as the fireplaces are no longer in use and the 4th which is used for a gas fire to have a ventilated cap fitted to stop heavy rain knocking debris down. We would also like some of the brick work mortar towards the top of the stack re-pointed / repaired where it has been damaged by frost/age etc. We would also like a quote for all of the gutters to be cleaned out, there is a build up of moss/grit from the tiles which needs removing all the way around. Thanks.
