"I accepted the quote at 8pm Monday night, and he arrived to do the job 9.15am Wednesday morning!
A good touch was his taking a digital camera with him to show the roof before and after he'd done the work - turned out to be more slates needing fixed than expected, but no extra charge for these. Unfortunately, a wasp's nest prevented him from being able to clear all of the gutters - he was quite up front about this.
Personable, and friendly - only bad point was that he'd not mentioned it was "cash on completion", and hadn't brought either a formal invoice or a receipt book with him. However, he was prepared to get me both and take just part-payment on the day. "
