It is in one place only (quite small, there could be a whole maybe), but it's right above the back door of the house so when it's raining the water falls in front of the door and some of it gets behind the door into the kitchen. The house is mid terrace so there in no downpipe on our house, maybe we would need a pipe installed so the excess of water can run into the drainage. The house has 2 floors so a ladder is needed. The job is not big but as we do not have the ladder we need some who does and can do the repair for us.
Excellent service, brilliant communication (we received a phone call to let us know that the builder could not show up that day as he was ill and the day was re-scheduled) - many builders do not even bother to let you know that they would be late so I always appreciate when there is communication between the builder and customer.
The only downside is that the builder who came to do work on our house did not have any change so we had to give him a bit extra. - I am not bothered about the few extra pounds but the point is that you already pay enough money for the job as it is so there is no need to pay more. I would think everyone has some change in their pocket.
Apart from this - excellent company, I would use them again (and next time I will have plenty of change ready ;-)Hana
I was given a quote very early on by this tradesman but it was a little more difficult to get them to start. It was a difficult time, because we were having so much rain and I suspect they were behind in their schedule. I am happy enough with the job and the price although they were a little ambitious about the time the job would take.
This is a new co. and my advice to them is to invest in some equipment to clear the site of debris etc after finishing.
Overall I found them friendly and polite and I would use them again. Any teething troubles can be ironed out with a little encouragement.may
I have an old slate roof, which I would like to replace. I am interested in estimates to do one of three things:
1. Remove and re-use the slates to make the roof sound.
2. Remove the slates and replace with tiles.
3. Remove the slates and replace with a combination of solar slates and the current slates.
The house is a terraced house, built around 1900.
Sme slate repairs to detached house. Also repairs to soffit and realignment or renewal of guttering.
Water mark was found in the bedroom. It seems to cause by the damp of the external wall or the guttering pipe brokerage. Would like to find out the reason and resolve the problem.
there is a damp patch on bedroom ceiling near the window
Signs of damp/leaking roof on ground floor extension, plants growing on roof; guttering repair requires simple repair; repair to felt lining on gulley gutter. Extension built one year ago.
guttering needed to be joined to a downpipe
Water is dripping into my loft after heavy rain. I have now managed to isolate where it is coming through but am not sure where from. I live in a town house and so the roof is high and steep there is a narrow flat roof and this appears to be the problem area although this doea appear to be below where the water is comong from.
We have 2 falt roofs, front porch & roof of rear bay window. The felt needs replacing on both including flashing (not lead please).
Slate roof, semi detached 3 bedroom house. Very general maintence of loose and missing tiles, secure ridge tile and overall assessment.
