"Started well with great quote and pointed out additional work that could be included. I paid cash deposit for materials in first few days then saw them infrequently. Waste material left on grass verge. I had to pay to have it removed and he said I had put it there. Rooves were stripped and covered in tarpaulin. One leaked so badly water poured in through light fittings and ruined ceiling, carpet, bed and bedding. One roof finished but white facia was burned and bubbled. When new builder came he showed me under the tarpaulin of a roof that was nearly finished according to John. There were rotten boards and bits of roofing a metre square. I had to pay to have the work done again by someone else so that I could have a guarantee. He did not pay one penny in compensation. He said I had no intention of paying him but that was not true as I had shown my good faith by paying a deposit at the beginning and have paid all other builders in full and on time. I had to go to the small claims court for judgement but he still has not paid me. "
