Job small area of roof is leaking during heavy rain. seems to be at the edge of a velux window. access is easily possible from the inside via the loft.

Job Chimney stack of victorian terrace in nw3 to be repointed.

Comment We asked Patrick to repoint our chimney and he quoted £250 for this which we thought was a fair price. He told us that additional work also needed doing which would cost a further £750 which we reluctantly agreed to. He also promised to replace all broken slates, clean out the gutters etc. for this fee. After his roofers had finished the job, he told us that further work was now required which would cost another £350. At this point, my wife contacted another roofer to get a second opinion. The other roofer pointed a number of broken slates which had not been replaced, a quantity of debris including spare slates left on the roof (a danger in high winds) and said that, in his opinion, no further work was required. He was unable to say whether the work done was required or not although he said that it had been done to a fair standard. We contacted Patrick regarding the broken slates and debris. He returned and, having originally claimed that the second roofer caused the damage to the roof, finally agreed to return to replace the broken slates and clear away the debris. That was about 3 weeks ago. Since then, we have called, texted and emailed him and, when he does answer the phone, professes not to remember us then makes a vague promise to come in a week's time. Unfortunately, his attitude now makes me doubt whether the further £750 of work was ever really required as he has shown himself to be unreliable and untrustworthy. In conclusion, I would not recommend Patrick and suggest you get a reputable roofing company for any similar work. Will

Budget Under £1,000

Job We need to order a new downpipe from guttercrest. It's victorian OGEE guttering. But we would like someone to quote for fitting it. Likely to require scaffolding.

There was a bit of difficultly finding a suitable date and one appointment was cancelled but when he came round he was professionl and fitted the down pipe extremely well. He even took care of ordering the pipe so we didn't have to worry about getting the right one. We have had absolutely no guttering problems since his work. I would recommend him. Kerry

Comment I was extremly pleased with LTC Roofing and Building, I was slighltly nervous at first because the quote I received was a lot lower than the over Roofers, I was very happy to see LTC is a well presented family business, LTC explained every step in plain detail and showed me how to cut costs without compremising the quality of the new roof, I am happy to say my front and rear garden was acutally cleaner than when they started the job, They also did a small job for my neibour who was just as satisfield I would defenatly recommend LTC to anybody Dillon
