Remove existing Velux GVT 154 Structural alterations required to expand window space, removal of roof tiles and extra support with timber roof beams for holding new larger velux. Fit new Velux GHL MO6 3060 and flashing. Reinstate roof tiles/plaster as required. Timing: I am flexible on start date
Very speedy job of replacing an old velux with a slightly larger velux. Done in a day so super quick worker. Supplied a plasterer - who I wouldn't say was the greatest finisher of what I thought would be a seamless job.

I had already fixed an appointment with a local roofer before Ian Mitchell called, so I did not use him. He was very polite on the phone and quite understood.

The guttering at the front of the house has a problem with the joining section and the rainwater comes straight through. Think it way need to be secured to the wall of the house more also. Dont think there is anything blocking it.
Arrived on time, did the job quickly and efficiently, and told us what he had done in order to complete the job. Very friendly. Would use again and would highly recommend

Couple of slates replaced from pitched roof extension. Guttering from front of house cleared down pipe (front of house) and soil pipe (rear of house) affixed tightly to the wall. And other misc job

Showed up and gave me a price for the job which seemed reasonable and he took time to check the loft etc and I was impressed. However he didn't up to do the job at the agreed time a few days later. When I phoned him up, he said he had left a message on my office phone but said '110%' he would do the job a few days later. He did not turn up again to do the job and did not leave a message anywhere this time. I chased him up on the phone but he ingnored my messages and did not bother getting back to me. He is either dead or very rude, and I am back to square one and hoping it doesn't rain as I still have gaps in my roof. Not impressed.

Flashing is ok, so I'm told, just needs the cement removed and repointing to stop the leak, not a big job (1 day) access is easy so no scaffold required
He finished the job satisfactory and repaired the valley, problem being it did not rain for a long time after completion and when it did rain we still had a leak on the valley but higher up, this may have been caused by the abnormal torrential rain we have had these last few days, if this leak happens again will contact the repairer to return and resolve problem. Apart from this he did a quality repair would recommend

Loft conversion flat roof slight leak to be fixed
Malcolm Arrived on time for qoting and explained what was neccessary to repair the roof he arrived on the date set and finished the job allowing me to review what had been done to ensure the leak was correctly repaired. He was very tidy with his work and finished the job in the time he had allotted. I would recomened Malcolm to other clients.

Steve Brookes and his colleague repaired my son's leaking flat roof in Ealing (extension on Victorian house). Very professional and happy with the work. Worked very hard and left no mess. Had lots of quotes but Steve's quote seemed fair and addressed the problem. Of course only time will tell how good the work is but Steve has given us a 10 year guarantee. I would recommend. We live in a 1st floor flat within an Edwardian house, which contains two flats and only two floors. It would be an easy access to the roof, at the front of the house just to replace one broken tile on our roof. I have damp in our bedroom. We had a roofer come round and advise that it was likely coming in down the (disused) chimneys. He suggested removing the four pots and cementing caps in. I would like prices for this work and alternatively installing cowls which will prevent water ingress. Many thanks Ed
