I believe there is a leak in the roof or with the guttering as a large damp patch has appeared in the corner of my bedroom ceiling. I need someone with a long ladder to investigate and give me a quote on the work needed to repair it. The house is a two bedroom terraced property.
I would thoroughly recommend using Fox Developments. Not only were they reasonable in price but gave a well itemised written quote, very punctual, the job was done well and they left the area in immaculate order. I have since used the company for other building works as have my impressed neighbours. A great find!

We are in a basement flat and need someone with a long ladder to unblock the gutter on the first floor. Water from the upstairs drainpipe/gutter is spraying down onto our patio as it's blocked. Thanks

This flat roof has had a small leak around a skylight since I purchased the property shortly after the extension was built, and this needs to be sealed. A second skylight had a smaller similar problem but responded to some DIY spray sealant. This is made worse as guttering was not installed when the extension was built to drain rainwater from the existing downpipe, which therefore drained onto the flat roof and collected there. I made a poor attempt at extending the guttering to prevent this, but this DIY guttering leaks and also simply sends the water off the edge of the roof, so only improved rather than fixing the situation. What is really needed is properly installed guttering from the existing building downpipe, across the flat roof, to properly connect it to the property's drains. In terms of sealing the roof, I am looking to repair the problem, not a belts and braces job to re-felt the entire roof. I believe there is a common product used for this whose name I forget but it is some sort of paint that could be used to cover the general area around the leak.
Glen and team did a great job of repairing the flat roof, and installing guttering - they were friendly, knowledgable and my tenants were also happy with the work. They even came back to look at what I thought was a different problem, and noticed that weathering of the pointing had caused a corner of their work to come undone, so they just got on with repairing it. I will be using them again for another job imminently, so happy to recommend them! If only I could find similarly professional people for some of the other jobs that crop up... I've reviewed Anyroof before but this ratepeople site doesn't seem to retain the reviews for some reason - 3rd time lucky hopefully!

I live in a first floor victorian conversion. The property has a london roof. On sunday night i experienced leaking in the front room, the water has subsequently stained the suspended ceiling. There are also older water stains on the plaster in the bedroom. All the stains appear to roughly along the same line. As the roof is likely to be removed entirely next year due to the building of a mansard roof extension am looking at a temporary solution to the problem.
I got a call from Baz on a tuesday and he arranged to come round on the wednesday evening. He was bang on time, and got up on the roof to inspect the problem there and then. He diagnosed the cause of the leak straightaway and much to my amazement managed to fix the problem all on the one visit. Top service and a top bloke. Would absolutely recommend.

We hope that it can be unblocked quickly with a ladder - downpipe is original cast iron and we doubt it needs replacing. We will take advice on need for scaffolding.

Fix leaking flat roof - possibly maintain / reseal whole roof. Leaks at very edge - a slow leak that only occurs during heavy rain. Roof is low - only first floor (it's a converted stable) and can be accessed fairly easily. Roof area approximately 8m x 3m with large skylight at centre. Skylight specialists may also quote for fitting Velux window and re-sealing existing skylight. Viewing essential.
Very helpful, honest, professional but friendly people. Did an excellent job at a great price. Always did what they promised, no extra charges, even cleaned up after themselves. Very highly recommended.
