We have had a persistent leak from a small area of flat roof which our management company have come out 4 times to fix. As we are not convinced it is fixed we would like a second opinion on the work already done and a quote if more work needs to be done.
Pete was prompt. Gave a simple solution to a recurrent problem which was something we could do ourselves -which showed honesty. I would definately use again!Stefani
Old flat roof starting to leak - one leak point is around the internal drain entrance and another point is along one side wall. Job is to install new flat roof. Including making sure drainage and slight slope system is efficient. And that the roof is sturdy and strong enough for poss future decking to go onto it (as it should be anyway as a roof but just thought Id mention it).
The Uniroof guys are so good at what they do, and also efficient, pleasant and so tidy! Really pleased with the two new flat roofs Ive got - no more leaks and they look great.Jo
An old victorian conversion now flats has a flat roof above the ground floor bay window which has been waterproofed recently (last summer). The drainage isnt great up there and roofer who carried out the waterproofing said the masonry was in serious disrepair.
Since the showers recently I've been getting a leak inside, dripping down the wall, which previously has been stopped by clearing the guttering but now that doesnt seem to do the trick. We're now concerned that the leak is coming in through the brickwork.
We need someone to come and take a look and diagnose/resolve the immediate problem and after that we need someone to take a look at the masonry/brickwork and bring it back up to scratch.
So we're looking for two quotes, one to fix the immediate problem and one for the long term maintenance problem.
From the first meeting I was impressed with Peter and his company. He was on time, friendly but most impressive of all after an initial assessment he made arrangements to come back and do a proper test to find the true cause of the leak into my flat, whereas other firms had made only guesses (and previous work had even been carried out which clearly didn't address the root cause). When it came to the work the team was punctual, courteous and efficient. Once the work was finished the same test was carried out to prove the leak had been truly fixed.
I should also mention that he has been most patient with my landlord and the management company when they have actually caused Peter some serious financial inconvenience. He expressed genuine concern about the risk to my safety while financial arrangements were causing delays to the work starting which was surprising and touching.
In an age of impersonal service and in-and-out-quick attitudes I have been more than impressed with the thouroughness, professionalism, and overall attitude of Peter and his team. I would, and have, recommended PBF to anyone. I only hope he'll deal with us again if we ever need him :)Rachel
it was a small leak and is more than likely a loose tile so I shouldn't imagine it would be a big job but i am a layman!
Turned up exactly when he said he would- was polite and helpful. Gave a free quotation before proceeding with the work and was flexible with times. I am a layerson but the quote seemed reasonable and work done to a good standard. Would use again. Stefani
lead, slate, lime in render,
4 storey Victorian end of terrace house. Unsure if I have selected right price bracket, looking for a fair price. Thanks.
Michael was efficient, patient, helpful and friendly throughout. He has excellent listening skills and remembers which issues are important to the client by following up with direct action. I did not succeed in obtaining any other written quotes than Michael's to compare for value for money, and quality only reveals itself over time, otherwise I would have been happy to have given the highest rating for both quality and value. There were no negative aspects to this project. Working with mcp was very straight forward, communication was excellent. I look forward to recommending mcp roofing, when I am asked by neighbours for a reliable roofer, in the future. Thank you Michael, your work is appreciated.Liza
We need to stop the flashing of our dorma window from leaking. It is letting in water that is seeping along a joist and soaking the plaster on the interior wall. We also need a couple of slates replacing. The roof is pitched and made from slate. There will be a need for ladders or scaffolding, whichever is appropriate.
The work was done swiftly and certainly stopped the leaking, although the slates we asked to be replaced weren't and when we asked for them to be done Gary had unforunately broken his wrist and as a result Gary still has the keys to our flat.
We will however be using Gary again to repair our flat roof later on in the year.Leah

water and damp is getting into the side walls of the property through the roof. Flashing was done 2 years ago and roof was replaced about 5 years old, but the problem is still there and getting worse. I need someone to come and investigate the cause of the water leakage and then quote for the repairs needed to fix it.

Rain water is leaking through the roof causing a damp ceiling. There are two separate damp areas each about 1 m x 50 cm, they occur where the outside wall meets the roofing (so inside the damp patches are in the corner where the wall meets ceiling).
