Job Work required: Replace soffit and fascia boards and guttering at the front of the house (vents will be required in these due to the loft conversion); Replace all valleys and hips (front and back) with zinc or lead; Replace all cement fillets (front and back) with zinc or lead; Replace part of a wall plate in the rear extension; Leave site presentable and dispose of any rubbish; Liaise with local council (if required) and comply with any building regulations; The house is a terraced house. There is an extension to the back and the front has a full height bay window. The loft has been converted. The inside of the roof has foam insulation applied to the tiles.

Comment We were very pleased with Paul and his team. They were on site every day (despite the freezing weather). The liaised with the scaffolders, skip people and the council. . The recent rain and snow have been a good test of the work and we're very pleased with the outcome. There was one minor problem with the work, for which they came back and resolved. All in all we've very happy and would recommend them to others Neil

Budget Under £2,000

Job Hi, I am interested in getting a quote for repairs to my roof. I live in a Victorian terrace in lower clapton that has a twin pitch roof with a channel/valley in between the two that runs front to back. Currently, I am experiencing a couple of leaks that I would like to get sorted as soon as poss. I have been up onto the roof and can see a number of potential issues but would like an expert opinion. The issues as I see them (could be wrong of course) are: 1) The channel/valley doesn't run away properly and water is pooling. A could of the leaks that I have seen coming into the attic seem to be coming in around the channel. 2) The roofside wall of the parapet is very cracked and I think that water may be able to get into it and potentially finds its way behind where the flashing meets the parapet wall. 3) There are a number of previousl;y repaired tiles that may not have been repaired correctly. I would appreciate it if someone could get back to me in order to arrange a visit please. Thanks in advance, Steve

Job Inspection and quotation for remedial work on Main Roof, rear addition roof, chimney stacks, flashing + central guttering. . No evidence that anything wrong, but homebuyer's surveyor unable to inspect. Prepared to pay for inspection (including quotation if anything needs mending), but would expect that cost to be refunded if I appointed you to do the work.

Budget Under £2,000

Job Due to unforseen circumstances current roofer unable to finish job. Orininal slate roof has been removed and in part replaced with Marley Eternit. Tiler has already started and almost completed back addtion and fitted a few rows of tiles on main roof area. Photos show remaining work. I need an experienced tiler to complete the works, to start straight away. It is important that this job is completed asap and I am not interested in roofers who dissapear to complete other jobs whilst working on mine. References essential. Work required: To complete tiling, possiblysome remaining leadwork, pointing to roof areas, fit 1 velux window, soffits, guttering and downpipes. I will supply materials, most of which are already here. Scaffolding in situ.

Budget Under £8,000

Job We live in a victorian terraced house in Clapton E5, own the top floor flat. We noticed about 8 leaks in our attic and one is now staining our ceiling. We cannot tell whether it is a matter of replacing some tiles of if the whole roof has to be replaced, but it looks quite serious and need to be fixed as soon as possible. We would like someone to come and inspect our roof and give us a quotation for the work to be carry out. Thank you.

Budget Under £100

Job one slate tile has come off, and you need to go up the front and over the other side of the roof to gtet to it. Tricky but quick job. 1/2 hour max. sub £100.

Budget Under £250

Job The roof is a london roof (gully down the middle) and the water is penetrating somewhere along this (I think). The roof is relatively new and in good condition. I have tried to seal where I think the water may be coming in but with no success. Access to the roof is through a velux window so is quite tight! I am only available on Tuesday afternoon (21st Dec) to obtain the quote. Doug

Budget Under £250

Job 2nd floor rear bay gutter has become bent (I think it is made from zinc) and the downpipe has become disconnected from the wall. Both need to be fixed. Total length of gutter is approximately 9 feet.

Job The drain to reattach to the wall is on second floor but can be reached from roof. Guttering to replace would need a ladder to reach it.

Comment Very please with this - Perry was able to come very quickly after quoting and on a saturday so didnt even have to take a day off work. He turned up earlier than expected and got to work quickly, updating us all the time on what he was doing and showing great care with getting the angle of the guttering right so the water drained away again.
