Our slate roof has a couple of minor leaks and we'd like someone to look at it, survey what damage there is, and fix it. The house is a Victorian mid-terrace, there is a main section to the roof, which is fully accessible via the main loft. The second section at the back of the house has less easy access, although there is a small opening. It may be that some of the wooden supports for the roof need reinforcing. I'd also like someone to look at the chimney stacks to see if they need anything doing to them.

It's not actually a chimney repair hat I need but it's the best fit from the options offered! I have what I thought was a leaking roof, but I have been told that it's not the actual roof but the pointing on the gable that is allowing water in. I also have a budlia growing out of the brickwork which isn't helping. I have been told that I need the budlia removing & sloping bricks added to feed the water away from the poor pointing and onto the roof & gutters but I have had no luc in finding anyone willing to quote for the work

When assessing the job, Ben was was one of two (out of four) who actually went into the loft and carried out a thorough inspection both inside & out showing me photos of the problem with the roof. He arrived the next day to carry out the work with a colleague & was fast & tidy, calling after the next downpour to check all was OK. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Ace to anyone.

Updated : Over the weekend during the heavy rains, a leak has become apparent from the flat roof of our building at 274 Richmond Road. We have a Sarnafil membrane roof, it is under a wooden deck which is across the whole roof. The affected area is approx 700 sq ft, the deck is being lifted in order to access the membrane roof. We need remedial work to be carried out ASAP before more heavy rains. Work completed ahead of schedule and very thoroughly done. Should we spring any more leaks we will use them again, hopefully not though!

We have Victorian terrace house in Hackney and the original guttering at the rear has split at one side and needs to be replaced as it is causing dampness in and upstairs corner. We would like to gte all the guttering at the rear replaced except the downpipes. There is access to bring ladders through to the rear of the house. The house is 3 floors high, the height of the guttering on the main house is about 26ft. The approximate width across of the house/roof is 16ft. The existing guttering at the rear of the main roof is in two parts, made of metal (cast of zinc). Each part is of similar width (8ft each), flowing towards centre where the gutters empty into a hopper and down a downpipe of about 3ft to the gutters of the near extension (original victorian too). The extension is about 13ft long and it's gutters, which are along one side only, are about 23ft high. The gutters empty into a relatively new pvc downpipe at the rear of the extension.
Great service. David turned up on time every time. Reasonable quote provide promptly. Completed a good job in the timeframe specified and took away all materials and waste when finished. Recomended!!

Terraced house , guttering under roof blocked, rainwater seeping in thro' back elevation, side elevation brickwork. I have builder & decorator on site who need this work done asap so they can proceed - Thanks

Following pest control treatment for squirrels, we need to find the entry points either on the roof or through the fascia of where they are coming in. These need to then be fixed. We also need a gutter to be fixed that has come away, and the gutter needs cleaning out.
Bird guards were put in place to stop the squirrels entering our roof, some holes were filled with lead and others with wood and painted, the gutters were cleaned out and a drain pipe was screwed back to the wall. All included in the original quote. Excellent value

There is a leak into one of our bedrooms. I suspect the guttering may be blocked [ it is a W-shaped roof.] Access is via a trapdoor in the ceiling of the landing, through the loft [ not full height ] and then out through another trapdoor.The roof may need patching.
Excellent response and punctuality. Haven't tested the repair yet as it hasn't rained but have confidence in the team who were cheerful throughout and I was pleased that they had made a temporary repair on their first visit which stopped what might have been a deluge from coming through the ceiling.

Most people want fairly basic things from professional tradesmen. Politeness, honesty, reliability and competence. Bosco have all of these qualities and more. Two young guys building up their business on the basis of good service and good work. Bob and Scott turned up on time to price the job. They were polite and courteous. We agreed a price and a start date. A problem with the suppliier meant that a wrong frame was delivered, with the supplier promising to sort it out on the day that Bosco were going to start working. Despite this, Bob and Scott agreed to carry on. Most others would have just refused and insisted that everything was on site prior to them starting. In the end the frame was replaced on the day and everything was fine. If you want to have your job done dilligently, professionally for a reasonable price and by two thoroughly nice guys then do not hesitate to use Bosco. They even left the site clean and tidy - What more do you want?!

the roof is leaking water, but not every day. its a slate tiled roof with a dormer, t the covering on the dormer is lead, dont know if the leak is from the roof or dormer. Access is easy as there is a roof garden on the level below. so only one storey to climb.
