Slate roof maintenance and roof tile repairs in Moston
"Very happy with the work done - Dave did ours and next doors roof + gutters downpipes soffits etc and boarded out our loft - both ourselves and neighbours delighted. Has done other smaller jobs for us also (too many to list) and other items - pointing chimney stack - fitting hob, new tap, some skirting boards, kickboards in kitchen, fitted 2 new internal doors etc. Nothing is too much trouble. The quote was the most competative we received and we will definitely use Dave again when we need further work done. Very friendly and trustworthy, cannot rate him highly enough."

Roofing maintenance and repairs
Keeping your roof in good condition is important, as it protects you from the weather and ensures your home stays warm and dry. As such, there are certain maintenance tasks that should be carried out each year, some of which you may be able to tackle yourself and others that will require professional assistance. One of the easiest ways to see whether your roof has any potential problems is to look at it. View it from the ground, or ask a neighbour if you can use one of their upper floor windows to get a better vantage point. You can also go into your loft and check whether there are any signs of daylight coming through - if so, it's time to start looking for Manchester area roofers. Regularly cleaning your gutters is important, as is installing a new one if it becomes cracked or broken. Basic repairs that you will need a roofer for may also include replacing broken tiles or reattaching the flashings or hip ridges if they become loose.Other jobs for roofers
If you own an older property that uses materials such as lead or thatch, you will need to find Manchester area roofers with specialist skills. In any case, it is advisable to choose a professional who is accredited by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. This organisation provides specialist training, as well as monitoring standards within the industry and ensuring that all its members meet strict criteria. Obviously, if you are building a new roof, you will want a qualified tradesman to do the work for you. This applies whether you are constructing a new home, or merely extending your existing dwelling. Chimney repairs are another job that roofers may be able to do for you, so if you notice your chimney is leaning it is advisable to contact someone who can take a look for you.Use Rated People to find Manchester area roofers
