I have leaking guttering where it adjoins my neighbours gutter and the brackets appear to be incorrectly positioned allowing a dip at the join - its above a conservatory so access is difficult although possible by cherry picker or from the side aspect. Its a relatively small job with the correct access. I don't want to pay for scaffolding as I know the cost of this.

Updated : We are unsure what the cost of this work would be so are looking to discuss with a professional in the are what it will be. Original : We are in the process of buying a house and are nearly at completion but our Surveyors report has stated that there are potential issues with the roof and we should get someone to give us a quote for costs (they stated that it was near the end of its life, the torching is crumbling and falling away and due to the age of the house it could potentially have asbestos - but he wasn't able to confirm this)

A satellite dish pinned to the chimney was knocked down by the wind, leaving a gap of a couple of bricks in the chimney. The dish itself is still on the roof, and will need to be put back up, possibly with some reinforcement (a strap around the chimney). Very little/no material will be needed - all bricks are still there. The job is in York.
