I would advise anyone not to use homecare home improvements for any building work. They did roofing, guttering and repointing on my house earlier this year and not one aspect of the work is ok, and my roof now leaks exactly where it did before the work started. I'm getting in new builders as I have no reason to believe Homecare can put the job right. I can give more detail if required on all the work done, but my advice is simple, don't use this company in any circumstances.

Roof needs replacing. Currently leaks. Have been notified replacement is required. It is a standard victorian 3 bed semi which has been extended to the rear. The property is around 16 foot wide and stretches about 18 foot to the rear. The roof tiles are slate. Im looking for a quote to replace the existing roof and to install around 4 velux windows. Ideally this would be quoted separately as this is not an immediate need. We have received one quote but would like more to compare. We are not currently living in the property as major repairs are required and don't live by so for now a general quote will be sufficient with a more detailed quote preferably in a few weeks. The wall to both flats on one side of the building is damp and the plaster is wet. The water is entering the building somewhere and causing the damage. Now it could be the guttering or maybe a hole in the roof. There is also the possibility that the GCHB pipes are open to atmosphere and rainwater is blowing in. I need to know where the water is entering the building and what can be done to make it watertight.
