Hi, we are looking for a quote for a re-roofing of a 2 bedroom end-terrace house in Ackworth nr Pontefract.This is a house that we are in the process of buying but a survey has shown that the roof needs a replacement in the next few years. Looking for a quote initially, but would like to work to happen once the house is ours and before we move in.

replace existing guttering and downpipes to main house
well mannered chap who used quality,methodical workmanship. Andy replaced guttering/ downpipes as well as re-pointing the whole house. Will/would use again and recommend without hesitation.

Replace damaged wooden soffet with uPvc to front half of building only (sides and front area) from crown of roof down). Area weather damaged at end boxes (?). Would also need to secure telephone line to property as currently secured to current soffet. Also to point/repair small angled roof to small extension to front of building (used to be a garage but previous owner converted into dinning room

Ridge tiles have come off in recent bad weather and need replacing

I'm not sure
one ridge tile +3 pan tiles
gave me a quote tuesday great price did the job wednesday fitted more tiles than the quote charged same price and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone.

Have been told by our plumber that we need a CG1 terminal for the chinmey in order to use the gas fire.
The roofers we have contacted so far appeared confused by this so description as follows (from Chimney Products direct website);
Applications
A gas terminal designed to enable the flue gasses to escape and keep the birds and rain out.
Installation
Used in conjunction with a clamplate. The GC1 Terminal is simply placed over the top of the protruding liner at the chimney head and mortared together with the clamplate.
Not sure if we need a clamplate or not - have not been up there. Never noticed rain coming in either so is a bit of a suprise. Also not sure what diameter we need. Biggest one is priced at £7.91 plus vat - happy for roofer to supply. Also advised as one has not been in place it would be advisable to do some kind of smoke bomb test to ensure all is clear.
A reliable roofer/chimney guy with a good price would be most welcome as would be lovely to get the fire on again! Have totally guessed at budget - based on parts cost - that's why I need a few quotes.
Bear in mind is a new build 3 storey house so quite tall(ish).
