The house is Victorian built in 1905. The fireplace in question is a solid fuel fire. The smoke is currently getting into the loft, out of the external brickwork, but with the majority still rising from the chimney pot. Access to the loft is fine with minimal floorboards, so easy to get to the chimney. We would also like a cowl fitting to match the one on the front chimney pot.
