Unsold lead, updated details: To install a bosca 3.5kW wood burner. I have removed the old fire surround, lime rendered the inside and surrounding walls, and I need a HETAS registered/qualified person to install the burner. I lined the chimney at the weekend with a 6" flue to meet with a 6" fluepipe to a 6" stove opening. The liner is correctly installed and the right way up. I have the adaptor to fit the liner to the fluepipe. The job requires a basic hearth to be built too (slate tiles or similar?). Thanks! Original: to install a bosca 3.5kW wood burner. Property suffers from condensation and possibly rising damp. May be necessary to install either passyfing vents or air heat recovery unit - suggested quote for cheaper option of the two.

Patio area to be built across full width of the rear of the house. 'T' shaped design with two sets of steps down to the garden. Patio will need to be raised to level with french doors, with brickwork surround and slab finish. Wiring for lighting already run for lights around perimeter
mild damp on exterior walls and concrete ground floor in certain areas.
Around the (new ) front door there is some damp in the walls detected by damp tester. The damp course is only about 2 inches above the the ground in some areas and below in one small area.
Internally after taking up marly tiles the are patches of damp detected and under the stairs is a large area of damp I think due to a leaking mains tap which has btoken away through the concrete into hard earth.
The damp detector also gets readings on the internal side of exterior walls toward the bottom under the skirts.
The house has been recently plastered. Its a 1950's build
I am looking for honest advice on whether this is not too bad or needs to be done asap. We want to have wooden floors fitted in the living room with stone tiles in the hallway which leads to the front door.
Thanks
