Reviews of Specialist Services in Gloucestershire

St Paul's, GL50

Unsold Job, Updated Details : I would like a waterproof coating applied to the outside wall to prevent further damp patches on the internal walls. The outside wall's stucco has fine cracks/splits not enough to have the stucco renewed but which are letting in rain water. The outside wall to be treated is approximately 30 foot long and the height is that of two floors, the ground floor and the first floor. I really am not sure of the cost for this work and would be grateful of advice on the price and time needed for the work. I am prepared to purchase the waterproof coating materials if neccessary. Thank you. Original : One outside wall of a one storey regency/victorian house has a stucco/plastered coating. This is beginning to show small signs of wear, some of the internal walls have patches of damp & a waterproof coating has been recommended. There is a side access but it is a pathway not a drive. I would like this work undertaken and want to know how much it would cost.
A very professional approach and very good quality work. I would happily recommend this company to others.

Driveway needs replacing. Is currently a cotswold stone covered area with some areas having tarmac underneath which needs removing to improve drainage and water run off. Smaller area of drive leading from road to main drive area to be concreted, remainder to be levelled and covered with stone chippings which do not grind down to a sludge as currently the case. There are some land drains below the drive, at the front of the house, which take surplus rainwater away from the house. These not to be removed. This is only a brief description and needs to be seen before quotation.

Location Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Part 1. From the room detailed below in part 3, enlarge an existing small doorway through load bearing external wall to an existing underground coal bunker (i.e. make both taller and wider - install lintels, architrave & new door). Part 2. Convert same underground coal bunker circa 9' x 6' to an ensuite shower room. This will involve increasing headroom by breaking out existing concrete floor, digging down circa 18", underpinning walls if necessary, installing new concrete floor and drainage to main foul sewer approx 8m external underground run, in order to service both a suitable reliable damp proofing system for all 4 walls and ceiling which will need to be a lining system plus waste water from the ensuite. Install the ensuite. Part 3. 12' x 13' Lower ground floor room that will be stripped back to bare brick for contractor to line with appropriate damp proofing system & re-plaster. Possible requirement to relocate existing gas distribution pipes to neaten runs. Not a major issue just get out of site.
