We may have damp in one of our bedrooms. This is a bungalow and the bedroom with the outside wall seems to be moudly and has a damp smell. We need a professional to look at the area. The wall has been stripped of the wallpaper.

I'm in the process of buying a 3 bed mid- terrace and require competitive quote for the work. Property based in Beech Hill, Wigan. Hoping to exchange within the next two weeks, estate agent ok for tradesmen to go in to investigate and provide quote/report. Existing damp proof needs raising in Kitchen and lounge area. Lounge 13'1 X 10 , Kitchen 9 x 5'8. chimney breast on opposite wall also needs checking.
hiccups during the process, was unable to source a double air vent for 2 days, didn't turn up for one of the days so over-run. used expanding foam instead of bricks to patch up a hole which the plaster didn't attach to smoothly, one side of bay window is rounded off and one is squared off, wood showing through plastering. Due to come back to tidy up work and text'd at 7.07 am on the day he was due to arrive at 8am to say he over-run on another job, didn't reply to text to ask what was happening on the next day when advised that someone was waiting at the house . Did not supply an invoice for the job that had been done.

Lounge and living room walls of a three bed mid terrace house. In Ashton-In-Makerfield, Wigan. Has never had damp proofing. Traditional old wigan terrace house. Had coal fires until recent installation of central heating. Dampness can be seen up to approx 3ft above ground level in plaster now wallpaper has been removed. Empty house being renovated with intention to rent. So urgent job within the next month required at a sensible price with a professional job.
A great worker. Very pleased with final outcome, took a little longer than first expected but all sorted out well and a good job done. Including extra work for fixing our kitchen floor and wall, thanks. Very glad to recommend to others.

internal wall protruding outside external wall, house was built 1780 damp tracking through exposed brick. Not sure if house has damp proofing. 1 room involved, exposed wall approx 5 foot long.
Original quote was for a day and a half it only took 5 hrs in the end.
