We have a damp problem at the front door of our 1930's house. There is an access hatch directly where the problem is, leading to under the ground floor. The stopcock is situated under there.

I have noticed fluffy white substance in an area of my cellar. the cellar does have damp walls but i am worried that it is rot of some kind. it needs a specialist to inspect and advise me of the correct action to take.

Just purchased a house which has 3 areas of concern relating to failed DPC, we are looking for a DPC specialist to be able to treat the affected areas and re plaster with sand/cement mortar and a suitable water-proofing additive once we have removed the skirting boards and existing plaster to the required height. We intend to replaster other areas of the property so would finish the job with an independent plasterer. The house is a regular semi detached and the areas concerned are outside wall along the hall, chimney breast and adjoining walls in rear lounge and in the kitchen left wall from hall door to rear door. We would like someone to be able to quote for the work either this weekend on Monday.
