Reviews of Specialist Services in Roundhay, Leeds

Roundhay, LS8

I'm not sure
Survey carried out on the property that I am purchasing suggests that I should obtain a damp proof report. (Damp was found in kitchen and living room areas). Property is a brick built terraced house, approx 90yrs old, but doesn't have a DPC.
Will call [COMPANY NAME] again if I need any further damp proofing in the future! Shaun Chapman was quick to contact me, visit the property and supply a quote and a possible date for the work to be carried out. He explained the damp proofing process and provided helpful advice for the subsequent plastering work. The damp proofing was completed a week later by his team, in a tidy and efficient manner. Communication was good. They arrived when expected and completed the work in the expected timescale. I felt that I was dealing with a professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy company.

Take out existing wooden fireplace surround, install new marble fireplace surround and make good any plastering needed. Also the existing cast iron insert requires the tiles changing.

I recently bought a back to back terrace house, a cast iron multifuel stove came with it but it's never been used/connected. The past owner never used it in her 6 years here and it was bought by the owner before her (6-8 years ago). Chimneys, I'm told, were swept but are boarded up with ply. I am suspicious if there was a structural reason behind it never having been connected or if it is possible to get it working. I'd like a stove/fireplaces and flue fitting specialist to quote for the work,
