Stone (flagstone) and concrete paving in Bowdon
"David was emplyed to lay 76sq.m of Indian Stone (Modak) in five different areas of my walled garden. Diffficulties were overcome with imagination and resourcefulness.
He showed great attention to detail, whether working close to the house or in a far corner.
He arrived promptly (and early) each day and worked extremely hard. Labour charges were more than resonable. I can recomment him without reservation."

Stone (flagstone) and concrete paving in East Putney
"We are very pleased with the new patio built. Our workman was very professional from the outset and looked after us as clients as well as doing a wonderful job. He was regulary in contact throughout the job and his personal touch made it good to work with him. The patio itself has been finished to a very high standard and we are very pleased with it. We would definately recommend him to others and are already thinking of having further work done. "

Stone Work
A stone worker, or stone mason, is a highly skilled craftsman who has spent many years making all kinds of beautiful objects out of stone. One of the oldest trades in the world, stone masons continue to have an important role in construction and home improvement.
What does a stone worker do?
If you have an older property with stone masonry and architecture, a stone mason can carry out repairs to damaged or worn parts of the interior and exterior of the home. Some stone masons specialise in restoration work, and know where to source materials that may be difficult to find because they are no longer regarded as a common building material. They are skilled in the techniques needed to carry out repairs and make additions that are in keeping with the original style of the property - particularly useful if your house is a Listed building or in a conservation area. Stone workers also carry out more contemporary tasks such as building stone fireplaces and garden furniture. Some may specialise in cleaning and polishing stone fixtures that are looking a little tired. Memorial masons specialise in creating headstones for graves and other memorials made out of stone.
A stone mason can work in a variety of natural mediums such as granite, marble and slate. As well as tackling repairs to stonework and creating new additions for your home, they can also design, build and install garden walls, stone paths and patios to your specific requirements.
Stone veneer installation
Another popular use for stone in modern homes is as a stone veneer for interior walls. This is usually a thin layer of decorative stone which can create the illusion of a traditional stone wall. Many stone masons can take undertake a stone veneer installation, creating a finish that is pleasing to the eye and can increase the value of your property.
