Reviews of Stoneworkers & Stonemasons in Camden, London

Hampstead Town, NW3

Under £250
Updated : The slab is around 2 ft square. Budget is not really an issue - have no idea what a job like this should cost. But it doesn't look like a difficult job if it is easy to source the right size paving slab. Original : replace broken concrete paving slab from house entrance
Good service and very nice workman

Cantelowes, NW5

Need pathways renewed. Either asphalt or tiled. Path leading from front gate to front door - includes 2 steps (appx 2mtr wide x 5mtrs long), and side path leading to wooden side gate (about 1mtr wide x 8 mtr long). Already asphalt in place which would need removing, but think would go for cheaper option of non slip Quarry tiles on renewal, but would like quote for both.
Very polite, nice, quick & efficient all at a very reasonable price with a 10 year guarantee. Good job.

The fireplace is quite large and in the main sitting room set in the chimney breast of a flank wall. There's been some movement in the wall over many years that I think has caused the front section of the fireplace to move away from the back. The fireplace has a modern replica gas fired fire in it which I wouldn't want to disturb. I need someone who can basically stick the whole thing back together again, preferably without having to dismantle it entirely. I have a set of photos if you're interested in further detail. I don't know the scale of works or likely cost so the "budget" information I've supplied isn't based on anything!
Jim Harmer did an excellent job - he and another man came and priced for the work, then took my fireplace away, cleaned and repaired it and fitted it back in place. They clearly knew what they were doing and made a lovely job (and hoovered up!).
