Budget Under £250

Job Two bathroom floors to be tiled approx. 170 x 220cm and 160 x 160cm. Tiling of one wall in a small bathroom approx 160 x 140cm. Wall is currently painted, floors are lino laid on chipboard.

Comment Don't know about quality or value but is unreliable. Arranged a time to come and give a quote and waited in all afternoon but didn't show up and there was no answer when phoned. Didn't return my call. I wasted my weekend David

Budget Under £500

Job Part of the bathroom floor, side of bath and most of the skirting needs tiling with a small amount of woodwork to cover pipes. We would consider having the whole of the floor redone with underfloor heating if the price were right. Two quotes required.

Comment Layton did an excellent job of tiling the bath and part of the floor in the bathroom, even coming at the weekend in order to ensure the job was finished in good time. The price quoted was very reasonable and was the one paid at the end. The quality of the work was excellent, and he really took pride in the quality of his work. A friend has already commneted on how good it looks. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking for a good tiler. Ainger

Budget Under £100

Job One shower room. May need to buy 1 or two boxes of new tiles. The tiles have come off and we just need them to be re-placed. The approximate area to re-tile is about 1 or 2 square metres altogether.

Job Fix tiles to porch area - wall dimension approx length 125cm * 105cm height x 2 walls

Comment Still waiting for an invoice a month after job was completed. Particularly interested in why cost of materials (small amount of tile adhesive and tile spacers) totalled £28 ? Also quote given was based on 2 days work when actual work time amounted to less than 1 day. Russell
