I'm not sure
The tiles around my bath need removing and replacing, as they are old and horrid. I already have the tiles to go in that area, and just need some costs to remove and retile.
When I first had Robin in to quote for the job, he seemed reliable and knew what he was talking about, it was not until after the first two days of work, when the job should have been finished that the nightmare started. After the first two days, Robin then had a car accident, but didn't bother to contact me to let me know that he wasn't coming, and didn't call again the next day and so after numerous calls from me, he finally texted to tell me he would call the next day, which he just didn't. This no contact tends to be the main problem with Robin, he never turns up when he says he will, he never calls you to let you know and you have no idea if or when he will ever come and complete the job. After him having to come to my house on more than four occassions, he finally tiled my bathroom, but put the shower curtain rail in completely crooked, which he tried to tell me was level, but when he got the spirit level out to show me so, then had to remove it, chip out a tile and retile it and reattach the curtain rail. When he initially quoted he gave me two options, one of tiling over the current tiles, and another to remove all the tiles and doing any fixing the walls needed and retile for an additional cost. I chose to go ahead with the extra costs, but when it came to it, he only removed the tiles from two of the four walls, saying that it was too difficult to get the tiles off the other walls For some unknown reason, although there were over a box and a half of tiles left over after the job, he also decided to use a tile that had a chip in it on the wall, or he chipped it after he put it up, either way, it mars the look of the wall. I also had to get him to return to seal the bathroom twice, as after it was all supposedly completed it all leaked. The second time he sealed it, it was fine for a week and then all cracked and is once again leaking. All the grout around the tiles is also cracking and looks messy and unprofessional. While he was at my home late on a Sunday evening trying to get everything finished, as he was always saying he would come and get it finished and never did, he brought two other people with him to help him get it done. While they were there, one of the people he brought stole a mobile phone from the house and spent over £70 in calls in the next few days until I realised it had been stolen. This has been reported to the police and they are dealing with it and although Robin did reimburse me for the money spent on the phone, I am obviously not very happy as the phone was stolen and it was a whole lot of hassle, once again brought on by Robin. After he started the bathroom, I also asked him to quote on tiling the kitchen wall, which once again was started, but never really completed properly. I don't know if he uses cheap sealant that is not up to the purpose, but when he sealed around part of the tiles, it went all discoloured and looked awful around the white tiles. He said he would come back and fix it, but he turned up one day with someone else waiting in the car outside the house went to look at it, spent about 10 mins on it, and then said he would come back the next day, which of course he never did and he never called. It has now been almost 6 weeks since this job started, and its still not completed and I have only now given up on ever getting this job completed, or he even correcting the problems with it. The time and expense and hassle that Robin Turner has caused in doing this job is unbelievable and I would not recommend him for any jobs and should anyone wish to get any clarification on this, I am happy to discuss, as I now know what he is like and know that he will try and talk his way out of this, but he really shouldn't be able to as everything I have said is fact.

Shower unit in ensuite bathroom - tiles desperately need re grouting as attacked by mould. Can possibly scrape out all grout and sealant and re grouting, attentively Shower unit will need to come out, tiles removed, possible re plaster then re tiling, and re fixing the shower unit. Most of tiles are ok, just grouting and sealant that's in need of replacing so could be that we won't need to buy new tiles. Selling house so sprucing up ! Look forward to hearing from anyone who can get me a quote. Thanks Joanna
