I have noticed damp on both sides of an internal wall and think this may be caused buy central heating pipe work and would like some one to take a look and provide a quote for any repairs needed for free.

I have a 1930's 2 bedroom semi-detached in quinton, Birmingham. The roof is pitched clay tiles and has 3 elevations (2 hips and a ridge). It is in sound condition, no broken tiles, no loose mortar etc. The underfelt from inspecting inside the loft is in sound condition However, the bottom row of underfelt that is supposed to lap into the guttering has perished and now rain water from the roof is not channeled into the guttering anymore but misses it. I need the bottom hip tile from each of the 2 hip rows removed, then the bottom 2 or 3 rows of clay tiles removed to expose the rotten underfelt, then the perished underfelt cut back to the sound underfelt, then new underfelt installed lapped into the guttering again, then the clay tiles refixed and the 2 removed bottom hip tiles re-fitted by re-bedding in mortar. Maximum length of each of the 3 elevations 4m per elevation. All 3 elevations are accessible as there is a wide side path, ie no verandah or similar structure, no conservatory or extensions. I am quite handy and willing to labour if it helps but if tradesman prefers to do it himself, quite happy with this also

I own a ex-council property in South Birmingham. It has a Twyford WC fitted in an upstairs bathroom. The WC has developed a long hairline crack that basically runs around the WC, but is not yet leaking. I would like two quotes: (i) a "like for like" quote for replacing just the basin and leaving the old cistern in place and (ii) a quote for replacing the WC and cistern with a new model to be supplied by me. I will need some advice as to the suitability of the new model proposed/any connections required.
Selvin responded promptly and came out the next day to quote. He discussed options with me (partial cf full replacement of a WC). I went with his £160 "all in" quote for the supply and fitting of a new basin, excluding disposal of old WC. Urgent because WC was now leaking. Selvin was able to carry out the work the same day. He had to go and purchase an unanticipated connection but job carried out with no fuss. Was also mindful of working cleanly in view of new stair carpet. Happy with work; recommended.

We would like to fit a thermostatic bath/shower mixer tap to our bath. We have purchased the mixer tap (Aqualisa Midas 100) but are unable to install it as 1) it's really tight getting into the tap end of the bath, as it's right next to the toilet and 2) the existing tap connector is fixed tight - we haven't been able to undo it at all, so haven't managed to take the existing taps off.
