I currently have a dual fuel towel rail, which has corroded through at the base. I'd like it replaced with a towel rail that runs off central heating only.
Ben is very pleasant and helpful. Very professional and seems really trustworthy. Did a very good job of fitting heated towel rail in bathroom (though could have cleared up better afterwards and filled in the holes from the old radiator)

I have a radiator which needs bleeding. The key is meant to be the one that fits, but slips when I try to turn it. Pliers have also been unsuccessful. I'm not sure about the model of radiator, but it's been at least 9 years since it's last been bled.
Thistleheat were quick to contact me and turned up on the same day I posted my job. Fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. My only issue would be that I had to ask for a quote (there was an assumption that he would do the job even though I didn't know if I could afford it at that point). Ian Parker gave good advice though and I would recommend him.

I have gas/water underfloor heating that does not work to capacity in this cold weather. The Vaillant Boiler works well, providing more than adequate general hot water to the flat. It is only on the floor heating side that it Is not operating adequately but the main living room and kitchen area is always at best cool although set to the maximum. This may be the result of unbalanced settings since I have never been given a proper working understanding of the system but until now it has always worked adequately. I urgently need reliable and impartial advice on what to do . I am nearly 90 and living alone, but am, thankfully, in full possession of my faculties.
The only one who responded. Very friendly manner. Was not rushed and explained in good detail what I needed to know to operate my system . Problem resolved. I shall use Taylormade whenever I have boiler and heating problems in future.

Toilet flush not working - it still flushes if the flush is pushed multiple ( e.g. 20 times) but something in the mechanism is broken meaning it will not flush as normal

Blockage in bath, water not draining away. Bath is cast iron, early 1900s. I have removed the side panel; the u-bend is an old-style metal unit, so too difficult for me to remove and inspect for blockage. I have tried using an off-the-shelf drain gel solution but it hasn't worked. Have also used a domestic plunger to no avail. I have students in the property; they are model tenants so I would like to have this looked at pretty swiftly. One of the students plays football and often comes home caked in mud - one theory is that silt has accumulated in the u-bend, which would explain the discoloured water present when using the plunger. Could the debris be flushed out with a high pressure hose? Timing: ASAP
A simple blocked pipe turned out to be a nightmare of a job. Derek had to work on the problem for most of the day. He tried everything possible apart from removing the bath. In the end his perseverance won out and I know have 4 very happy tenants who are free to bath/shower to their hearts content.

Toilet seat to be screwed onto toilet bowl. Bolts and seat have been purchased but I am unable to screw in bolts as back of toilet is apparently inaccessible without removing some of the parts of the toilet.
Contacted me same day I posted the job and fixed it the next day at the agreed price. Work appears to be of high quality. Derek seems to be a safe pair of hands.

Currently I'm looking for a new boiler to be fitted and new pipes run, the floor is up in the kitchen so access is easy. I'm switching from a gravity fed system to a combi boiler so there's also a water tank to remove from the bathroom. I'm looking to make use of the boiler scrapple scheme.
Jacksons plumbing carried out the work required to an exacting standard. I would highly recommend their service. The task was completed on time with minimum disruption. I will be using them again for additional work in my property.

Section of a cast iron soil pipe needs to be replaced in a tenement. Damaged section is on second floor with one flat above me.
I was really impressed by this company. They took on a difficult job to replace a section of a leaking internal soil stack with minimum off fuss, and did so at very short notice (and for a great price!). Would definitely use them again.

I have had water coming in from above and down the side of my window frame in my kitchen window. I think there must be an internal pipe which is building up with water, particularly in heavy build up of rain.
