Period property with original windows to front. 4 upper story windows, 4 lower story windows. The external paint on the windows is badly peeling, needs clearing back to a sound base, redecorating in white. The putty is crumbling too so also needs clearing back, replaced and decorated. 8 Windows each with an upper and lower casement. Each casement is approx 3ft tall by 2ft wide.
John did a great job with redecorating my windows, has a lot of experience with older buildings (mine 1903). Good general building/refurb skills too. I extended the scope to include repointing the front brickwork (using bath stone cement), reappointing the bath stone gate post at the front of the property and tidying up the wall to which it had to be fixed. All work very good quality and quickly completed. No fuss or nonsense, 100% reliable. I will definitely use him again.

External wooden front door with surround at the moment, would like a new door, have seen some ok ones at B&Q, but open to suggestions,
Can't really rate for quality of work. He came around gave us a price...we chose the door, got an installation date...waited....and we waited....we called and we called.....we emailed and we emailed but no response at all. If you want reliability don't bother. Don't mind if a tradesperson can't make it, but a courtesy call is all that is needed - not too much to ask is it ?

I want somebody to design and install an external all glass link between two parts of our house. The shape of the required "atrium" is not straightforward and the roof design will need to be relatively complex. The overall area to be covered is about 6 meters by 2.7 metres but not a simple rectangle floor plan. Every part of it apart from two all glass doors will need to be custom made. The framing can be any material apart from timber and I want maximum glass so if it can be done with minimum framing that would be good. There is a small galss leanto with a suspended floor in place nor. This will be removed and replaced by the new structure. Sketch drawings of the area are available. 3D designs are not.

Will need to be a really nice job and involve some matching up of decorative bricks at edges of opening. Also, installation of new window in place of old back door. The house is an old stone Somerset cottage. Need this done asap. Thanks.

An old single glazed aluminium conservatory with a roof that leaks around the 2 opening panels. Have tried mastic to seal them shut but still leaks. Is it possible to replace the glass with polycarbonate and what sort of cost? It is approx 3 sq metres. Can't afford to upgrade and only used as a sort of storage area anyway. Thanks
