I have double-glazed windows that are over 10 years old. I need to replace the handles on them however they are an old style that I cannot find. One handle has shorn from the inside, the other two feel like they will do the same.
The handles are designed to push metal bars into the window frame for additional security. I have one off the windows now and could send pictures of the front and back and of the mechanism on the inside of the window if that helps. Externally they look like a cockspag handle, I am just hoping that someone has old stock so I can replace them.
Very helpful, were forthcoming with good ideas/options. Appreciated that they gave me credit for the knowledge I had.Kimberley
We are looking for a small conservatory (4m by 3m), lean to style with a rounded corner on one side, other side needs to be a fire wall. Dwarf wall around other 2 walls and single door on rounded corner. We also require insertion of patio doors. We would like it to be for all year round use so well insulated with radiator, electrics and lighting. Interior finished with plasterboard and exterior in pebble dash to match. White PVU with hard wood finishings. Looking for quality work at competitive price.
Alan and his team constructed a conservatory and installed patio doors in our house. The job was done to a good standard and in a very timely manner for a very competitive price. The team were very considerate and reliable, turning up when arranged. Alan rang every few days to update me on the progress and addressed any questions or concerns immediatley. They made the whole process very easy and I had great trust in them from the beginning. I would not hesitate to recommend Alan and his team to anyone.Jennie
Replacement windows throughout (8 windows)
Replacement external door (and possibly 1 internal door)
So far so good! George is a professional, knowledgable and friendly tradesman who instills confidence from the word go. He will be fitting our windows next week so I will update again after that. Mel
I have two windows not working properly. One should open two ways (tilt inwards at top and open up like a door) but it only opens at top, tilting inwards. The other window is a problem with the handle - it is broken and comes completely out.
We have wooden and sash window frames in a house we are renovating. We need to get the frames checked to see if they require remedial work or replacement.
Mark did a great job on our sash and case windows. Very happy with his craftsmanship.
Would definitely work with him again.Nick
To replace aluminium double-glazed kitchen window (200x100 cm) in old tenement with french doors (approx 300x100 cm). Planning consent and building warrant will be required.
Great job, done to budget and time specified. All clearing up done and rubbish taken away. More than happy to remedy any slight problems found later. Would certainly use again.Luci
We need someone to repair 3 large windows and 2 small windows as they have become ill fitting and drafty. One of the windows (bedroom) we would like to investigate getting double glazed panels in the existing frames to reduce road noise. Flat is a listed building so limited changes only.
Got the job done within 2 days of posting. Estimated time of work and came in bang on estimate. Quality and considerate job, little evidence of chipped paintwork etc. Also very reasonable prices. Would consider using again.Anna

Double glazed smashed by stone (just outer glass) small panel window on conservatory. I'm hoping not a full unit will be required, just the outer panel of glass? i think i might get this repaired cheaper than going through Insurance; size is around 73inch x 14 inch?

I have a 2nd floor flat in Edinburgh with 7 sash windows that need re-pointing. I would like someone to have a look at the windows to see which need repointing and give me a quote for the work as well as an indication of any other remedial work.
