Good bloke, did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it and did it all well. Pleasant to deal with, considerate around the place and tidied up properly - sooo important. Difficult to criticise therefore Gary get's a full 5 stars from me

To remove and replace 1 back door with UPVC door and 1 set of French Windows with UPVC equivalent. The doors wil be bought from www.justdoorsuk.com. The back door will require a cat flap installing.
To say this guy is unreliable would be an understatement. Firstly he couldn't make the original date to fit my conservatory and doors because he had trouble getting the parts. That was OK because he phoned me to tell me and as a way of apologising he offered to provide and fit a window for my mum for free. This was probably more than he needed to do but as he offered I wasn't going to say no. However after eventually arriving to fit the window after numerous false dawns it transpired that he'd bought the wrong size! So he left the original window with the rubber still removed and promised to bring and fit the correct window at a later date. Later he reneged on his offer to provide and fit the window for free and said he would just fit it for free - which is a bit much when it was he who got the wrong size! However I was happy with this. Unfortunately he has never been back and my mum had to get someone else in as the window was loose! Anyhow back to my conservatory and doors. His original plan was to remove my old conservatory on a Saturday morning, cover the footings and walls with a waterproof tarpaulin, fit the new conservatory the following Monday and the doors later in the week. He said this would take 3 days max in all. Anyhow he arrived on the Friday and took down the old conservatory while I was not there. When I came back all he had done to protect the walls and electrical sockets from the weather was to cover the floor in an old dust sheet and the walls with the blinds that were in the old conservatory. Waterproof it most certainly was not. I spent the rest of the weekend worrying that it might rain and the damage that this may do to the conservatory base. Luckily it did not rain - although he wasn't to know that. He arrived to fit the new conservator on the Tuesday and with 3 of them on the job got it up. However there were a couple of windows missing so true to form he covered the window with a (non-waterproof) dust sheet. He left things for a few days while he waited for the windows (why he didn't check before hand I don't know) and put them in. However the job was still not yet complete as all of the gaps needed to be filled in and a fan/light installed. In the meantime he came to fit my doors - which he did on a Saturday and promised me he would be finished the same day. However it was a red-hot day and he decided to call it a day just after lunch leaving me without a cat flap and gaping holes above the door. He came to finish the job on the Monday but was still there when I got back from work so I don't know what time he arrived. Anyhow I found a few problems with the conservatory and doors most of which he fixed. However there are still a few outstanding issues - the fan catching on the roof, the shoddy way an electrical cable was fitted, a missing hinge cover, the back door catching on the side when it shuts and the housing to the centre of the conservatory still not fitted. I was promised that he would return the day after to fit these. So I duly left the back door unlocked so he could get in and fix things. This was over a month ago and he never arrived and I have not heard from him since!

Large conservatory required. L-shaped (house is detached) where a separate room is created for a swim-spa. I'm thinking of one side of the 'L' as extra living space, with an inside uPVC door and glass partition into the other side of the 'L' for the spa room. Dimensions to be confirmed, but the spa would be at least 3.8x2.3m in size, so the conservatory would need to be big enough to accomodate that. I prefer the Edwardian-style conservatories with polycarbonate roof and dwarf wall. A tile floor, blinds and ceiling fans are extras I'm considering too. I'm looking for exceptional finance options, as it would be unlikely that I would be able to pay the whole amount in one go, although this will depend on the quote. If there is any 0% APR over 2-3 years this would be ideal. Many thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope someone can help me in completing this job.
