Budget Under £1,000

Job I'd like to fit a new window into the bathroom. The room is very narrow and the window would be no wider than the standard size toilet. Brickwork in the house is 120 years old. There is currently a hole in the wall where a small grate has been fitted for ventilation in the approximate area where the window would be ideally placed. The bathroom wall is tiled, however disruption of the tiles is not a concern. My biggest concern is the bricks are very old and may cause structural problems cutting into them.

Comment I found Bennbrook windows a fantastic choice for choosing a window company, it was the first and only company I had give me a quote for the job as the inital assesment was so very unbiased and incredibally knowledgable and relaxed, they instantly came across as a company that didn't just want your money, but a company that knew what they were doing and they're gonna give you the facts, help you out and give you the best suited advice for your situation and not expect you to instantly decide there an then if your going to go with them. I would find their quotes very fair for the work done, the job I wanted done was very fairly assessed and although it turned out to be out of my budget to install a new window, Chris(the guy who came to assess)offered me other solutions to the problem of giving a small room more light when installing a window into a wall was just more effort than it was worth, and I asked a quote for a different job(replacing sash windows) and their price was very fair and the selections of windows you could choose from, the different options was fantastic, it really felt like you could get the best windows to suit your needs, and for a good price! The work commenced after a slight delay which had nothing to do with them, just with problems parking in my area, after a week they were back extra early in the morning to finish the job, very poite and curtious, cleaned up after themselves, very willing to discuss any questions I had. The work was done incredibally fast for removing an old window and bricking up a quarter of the hole then created and installing a window about 7:30am untill 12:30pm and I couldn't be more happier with the job done, the window(as of writing a week old) works wonderfully, and is brilliantly garanteed by the company itself. I can't reccomend them enough, very professional and very efficant, I will no doubt be returning to them in a few months to replace the remainder of the windows in my apartment, with no thought to any other companies where budget is an issue. paul
