I need new windows fitted to my property. Looking at getting this complete before Christmas ideally but this depends on the costs involved. I currently have the Aluminium frames fitted. I do have measurements to hand for all the windows. I did work for Anglian Windows so i know how to measure windows. Alot of people seem to get this wrong and over measure!
I'm a property developer with extensive knowledge of the building trade and building services. About August Windows; Outstanding Service, outstanding product and highly recommended. Updated : To replace a single pane of glass in a wooden porch door. Pane is approx 170cm tall x 38cm wide. Height includes a half semicircle rounding at the top. The porch door is one side of a pair of double doors. The existing glass has a leaf pattern on it, so the new pane would need to look similar to match the other side. Reduce aperture from 1850 mm to ~ 1490 mm width using existing outside bricks to match in. Possible add outside lintel if one not exsiting. Patio doors will be sourced by customer, Wickes French windows product code 155252. All fitting to comply with building regs.
Overall the job has been completed to a good standard within the agreed time frame, weather permitting, can't control rain. The brickwork was to a high standard and I appreciated the effort to utilise existing bricks to match surround and control costs. Dennis was patient, in relation to my questions, open to discussion and readily shared his experience and reasoning to reach consensus on some areas, also appreciated. Some minor details to be completed for me to fully assess quality. However, based on work so far I would recommend Dennis and in fact, such is my current confidence I have agreed more work with him.
