Demolition

In the vast majority of cases, you will not have to apply for planning permission to demolish your existing home.

That is unless your local council has applied an article 4 direction to your property which restricts the demolition or alterations you could normally carry out under permitted rules.

Also bear in mind that even if you can demolish your property you need to check if you can re-build a new structure in its place as you might not even be able to get planning permission for such a thing.
