Here Marc Nettleship of MJN Electrical talks to us about his work and spare time

What do you and your company do?

MJN Electrical is an electrical contracting company, our slogan is ‘if it has wires then we will do it’ which effectively means we get involved in anything from house re-wires, to TV audio installations, to three phase industrial work, to inspection and testing of commercial premises’. We are fully Part P and NICEIC registered.

What are the three golden rules for being a good electrician?

  1. Always work within the electrical regulations (BS7671) and be a member of an accredited electrical association (such as the NICEIC).

  2. Always maintain good communication with customers and keep them informed at all times.

  3. Be accurate with estimates and be 100% honest with customers.

Finally, tell us a little bit about yourself

I set up MJN Electrical 3 years ago, and with Rated People's help I have a stable and profitable business that now employs 2 people. With luck and a bit of good business practice I hope to continue to expand the company. I have been married for 3 years, and spend most of my spare time (what little I seem to get) working on our house, or seeing as much football as my wife will let me.

Mark and his team cover the Berkshire area.
