Home owners 'turning to solar solutions'

Edited by Bob Witham. Home owners are increasingly turning to solar-powered systems to improve the energy efficiency of their properties, according to British Eco Energy.
The organisation said there is more financial assistance available than ever before for covering the cost of solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity systems or solar hot water systems.
Home owners can currently access government grants worth up to £2,500 to help them meet the cost of having builders install a solar PV system, BEE noted.
The group added that while there are smaller ways of improving energy efficiency, the long-term benefits of installing renewable energy systems are "unmatched".
"The market forces on renewable solutions over the past decade have made it extremely easy to install a wide selection of products on a property," the group said.
