In a bid to improve the region's energy efficiency, Horsham District Council has launched a scheme with the Energy Saving Partnership to offer home owners new insulation at a discount.
During the first two weeks of March homes across Horsham were subjected to thermal imaging by HeatSeekers vehicles.
Now these images will be used by the council to target homes in the region that could benefit from improved insulation.
Home owners will receive visits from HeatSeekers' surveyors with a thermal image of their home offering insulation at discounted prices and discussing their insulation options.
Households on low incomes could even receive the insulation for free.
According to Heatseekers, home owners could save up to £265 a year on their energy bills by investing in better insulation.
HeatSeekers works with the Energy Saving Partnership and local authorities to assess the energy efficiency of homes across the UK.
Working at night from October to March every year, HeatSeekers surveys between 3,000 and 5,000 properties a night using thermal imaging technology to determine the state of insulation for each property.
