A fully-functioning kitchen has been installed at the upcoming International Builders' Show (IBS) to highlight how cooking and cleaning appliances can boost water and energy efficiency in the home.
The kitchen by manufacturer Bosch will form part of the event's Professional Builder Show Village.
Among the appliances being highlighted at the conference are a dishwasher that uses as little as two gallons of water per cycle - 70 per cent less than a typical dishwasher - and a refrigerator that features Eco and Vacation modes to reduce energy usage.
In addition, the kitchen will have a cooktop featuring recycled materials and a double wall oven designed to allow the cooking of an entire meal at once without the transfer of flavours or aromas.
Bosch will also use IBS 2010 to launch the Green Technology Inside icon, which will quantify the energy and water savings offered by different appliances to help consumers when they are looking to kit out their kitchen.
IBS 2010, which runs in Las Vegas until 22nd January, is the largest annual light construction show in the world, featuring exhibitors in over 300 categories.
