Rutland residents with views on energy efficiency and climate change may be interested to hear that the council is offering residents a chance to win an energy saving pack.
Rutland Council is one of only three councils in the East Midlands allocated a place on this year's Energy Saving Trust One-to-One programme.
The programme aims to help the council plan ways in which businesses and residents in the county can change their habits to save energy and money while reducing their impact on the environment.
As part of the scheme, Rutland Council has launched an online survey for residents to complete between 18th March and 16th April.
The first 25 residents to respond will receive an energy saving pack consisting of energy saving tips, energy-saving light bulbs and a power-down plug.
In November 2007 Rutland Council was one of 340 local authorities that signed up to the Nottingham Declaration, a voluntary pledge to address the issue of climate change in their regions.
