Those who want to install green home improvements could get advice on what features and products to install at a new roadshow this June.
On June 6th, Centenary Square in Birmingham will welcome the Act on CO2 roadshow. Everyone is invited and, what is more, the event is free.
At the event, homeowners can talk to experts about ways to calculate their carbon footprint and listen to advice and guidelines on how to reduce it.
"The roadshows provide an opportunity to actively engage, educate and inspire the public about their individual CO2 emissions," organisers say.
Ground source heat pumps, which run on electricity, could be considered by those looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
Richard Thickford, a spokesperson for heat pump designer Ice Energy, has claimed that they are 400% efficient, whereas a gas or oil boiler is only around 80% efficient.
