Winning Hampton garden 'may offer inspiration'

Home owners looking to improve their residential property may want to consider adding a conservatory.

This is because, according to one firm, it is a far cheaper than moving and can be personalised to meet a person's exact requirements.

Apropos states that because conservatories come in a wide range of styles, they can be a valuable addition to any house, whether it is a period property with older brickwork or a new build featuring paler colours.

Similarly, home owners could also ask local tradesmen to construct them a conservatory that spreads over two storeys.

"They look stunning from the outside and greatly increase the amount of light in the house," Apropos continues, adding that conservatories can include impressive features such as glass staircases.

Earlier this year, a new initiative called the Double Glazing and Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme was launched in an attempt to prevent people from being ripped off by rogue double glazing firms.
