I would highly recommend Excel for its truly professional work. Every day the team were on site early and worked continuously to ensure work carried out in time. The finished item was far better than I could have imagined, with high quality workmanship by a friendly team of lads. Very competitive pricing together with quality makes Excel the one I would choose for all future work.

In March of this year me and my wife decided to get an extension to the back of our house and re-arrange the ground floor layout. In April I came on here and looked around for builders and got several quotes, also from local builders. After several quotes and meeting various people, the quotes ranged from a builder standing in my dining room with a fag in his hand and giving me a quote on the spot after 2 minutes of looking at the job right up to Gary at Excel sitting down with us, computer in hand producing 3D images of exactly what they could do for us, with all measurements included along with a list of the things they would do. Naturally we went with Excel.
We've all heard the scare stories of 'cowboy builders' and it's always a gamble when you finally go with one, but in this instance I'm happy to say I couldn't have gone with anyone better. The work started at the beginning of August and since then has now been completed. Over the course of that 3 months I had 6 builders from Excel turning up prompt in the morning (unless the traffic was a pain) at various different times and have to say they were a great bunch of blokes. There was Paul (Scarecrow), Lee (Jesus), Dave (Ziggy Stardust), Jim (Mustard), Paul (007) and Darren (Hells Angel). All of them were superb at their respective jobs and the attention to detail was spot on. The point work on the brickwork was incredibly neat right through the final kitchen fit with floor edging. All of them were very friendly, at no point did i feel I couldnt ask them anything about the work going on and I was more than happy to leave them in my house all day while we were out to work, completely trustworthy. The electrician they used (Lee) was also superb.
The whole build went smoothly, Gary (the Guvnor) was in constant touch about any problems that needed sorting or simply to go over bits and pieces. Payment wise Gary suggested doing it in batches with the last payment not being made until everything was done so i knew I wasn't paying up front only to find they had gone off with my money.
I would thoroughly recommend Excel to anyone and if i have any need for them in future they are the only people I plan on using. If you want a good, solid, reliable bunch of guys to do any kind of work you won't go far wrong with Excel and you will be more than happy with the end results, these guys know their stuff.
The only down side is they go through the tea and chocolate biscuits like penguins in a zoo at feeding time, but for the job I got they were more than worth it :-)
