Our Experience

Holmes & Garden Landscaping, is run by Philip Holmes, who is a graduate of Writtle College, Chelmsford, studying Landscape and Design.
As a business we have over 12 years experience in both the commercial and domestic landscape markets.
We pride ourselves on using proven construction methods and achieving the highest quality finish possible.
Having built a British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) award winning garden in 2010, we strive to build on this and achieve an unparrelled service.
Emphasis is placed on reliability and communication.

Gardening & garden design job in RM7

Phil Holmes is an excellent tradesman. He came to see our garden and gave lots of ideas on what we could do. When work started they were hard working and worked through some terrible weather. Thoughout the whole job Phil kept me up to date on progress and that helped me as i knew what was happening each day they were on site. We could not be happier with the final results. The garden is completely transformed. Phil is a very king easy going and great to get along with. HIGHLY RECOMMANDED Thanks Phil

Gardening & garden design job in CM14

We engaged Phil in October 2011 to build a new patio, level the garden, re turf and plant borders. The Patio is good quality. Phil laid the turf but never returned to plant the borders or level the lawn and give it the first few cuts/treatments as had been agreed. Now winter has passed the lawn is riddled with weeds which shows that the ground was not cleared and prepared at all well (we trusted him as we both work). Also the ground is very uneven and the turf has not taken well in many places and needs replanting. We tried to contact Phil many, many, many times to finish the job but with no joy at all, he never returned any calls(office and mobile, mobile went to VM) or emails. The quality of the gardening is not satisfactory at all and we are now having to spend more money to get the lawn looking decent and to plant the borders. Although Phil is a thoroughly nice guy and appears to a be pretty good builder (well the bits he has finished ,there are still a couple of bits that have not been finished) but the quality of the gardening is poor and he is extremely unreliable.

Gardening & garden design job in CM8

very friendly and knowledeable, nothing is too much for him. his professionalism is second to none and the outcome of our project was much better then we could have hoped, he transformed a boring muddy uneven area into what can only be described as a lush family garden. very happy with all aspects of their work and would highly recommend to any others looking in this area for a top landscaper!
