Our Experience

I have a diverse experience of working on a variety of different types of buildings including castles, churches, period homes, barns and steadings.

From a simple wall repair to building arches, cutting and replacing stone, no job is outwith my experience.

I am a qualified stone mason that specialises in conversation and lime works.

Stone work & masonry job in KY12

Iain Nelson contacted me very promptly to arrange to come out to visit the job site. I was very impressed with his knowledge of what was required to be done to repair the sandstone gable wall and chimney. Any subsequent questions I asked he answered very promptly via e-mail. Once the order was placed Iain stated exactly when the work would start and barring bad weather when he planned to complete the work. The work was completed exactly when he said it would be. As I was on holiday for part of the time Iain took photographs of the work from start to finish which gave me a very good visual record of the jobs progress. The quality of the work carried out was in my opinion excellent, I got good value for money, they were very reliable and tidied up before leaving the site. I would highly recommend Nelson Masonry for any sandstone work.
