To convert a garage into a dining room
"I can certainly recommend S.R.G Plastering & Renovation Specialists. They carried out a garage conversion at my property to a very high standard. All the tradesmen were professional and friendly and left the site tidy at the end of each day, and the job was completed well within the timeframe given. Miss Smith"

The existing kitchen ceiling is approx 3 metres by 3 metres. It is a false ceiling which someone had put in, the original ceiling being higher. It is cracked and dropping in one place and all needs replacing. There is a stainless steel plate in the middle which houses 4 spot lights. This will also need replacing with other lighting.
"Sean contacted me very quickly, visited and quoted without any messing about. He was very honest, telling me the job wasn't as big as I had thought, therefore getting himself another job if he wants it. He was polite, prompt and efficient. He appears to know what he is talking about. I hope to be using him again and would recommend him without hesitation. Thanks very much."

The house will need a full rewire and additional sockets; lighting and telephone points installing. A stud wall to be removed. A full plaster skim on all walls and ceilings as well as plaster coving to all rooms. A downstairs toliet installing. A new fitted kitchen installing with associated plumbing for dishwasher and gas pipe for cooker etc. Plumbing will also need installing for a washing machine in the garage. A French door installing where there is currently just a large window. A fire surround and fire installing. New skirting boards; architraves and internal doors. Fitted wardrobes installing in the bedrooms (MDF will be fine). Floor tiling to kitchen, downstairs toilet and hallway as well as wall-tiling in kitchen. A full redecoration throughout (just paint no wall coverings)
"Excellent job! I can't stress enough how extremely satisfied I am with the work undertaken by SRG Plastering. It's always a gamble choosing tradesmen, especially when you've never had work like this done before. I can honestly say I had no need for concern. Shaun was thoroughly professional from start to finish. He was the first person to contact me after registering with Rated People and came to quote me straightaway. I found him to be extremely pleasant, professional and knowledgeable from the outset. He took time to discuss my exact requirements and provided me with the facts to make informed decisions. He provided me with a written and detailed quotation before work began. I found Shaun's Team to be equally as professional as he is. Shaun was an excellent project manager ensuring that the different tradesmen were utilised to make the best use of time and to complete the job as thoroughly and quickly as possible. His Team worked on my property daily including evenings and weekends. Each day I could see real progress being made. Shaun used his initiative to ensure that the work advanced without delay but - at the same time - was always careful to seek my opinion before making decisions. He kept in close contact with me, in person, by phone and by email. I did have other quotations from other tradesmen, but I'm so pleased I chose SRG Plastering over the others. I would recommend Shaun's company to other people without hesitation. Finally, I should add that the quality of the finish in all areas of the work is superb. I now have a completely renovated house finished to the highest standard. I will definitely use SRG Plastering again, should I need their services in future. Thank you for a great job!"

Soundproof walls to reduce noise from neighbours
"We had some sounproofing work done to two rooms. This guy is absolutely the best. Reliable communications, spot on time for every appointment. Firstly his advice was extremely helpful. Workmanship was of the highest quality. Hovered and washed floors to finish. Nothing seemed too much for him. On top of that his price was very reasonable and competitive. I will use him again and strongly reccommend him to anyone."

Kitchen / Dining Room - Remove 2.7m long x 2.1m high section of internal structural wall. Insert pads and steelwork and make good finishes. Relocate light switch, electrical socket and TV aerial point. Insert transition strip between existing floor finishes - will need structural survey, drawing and submitting for building regs approval. Dining Room - Erect 2.8m long x 2.2m high p'bd / stud to divide dining room, including cutting existing laminate flooring, new skirtings, new ceiling light and switch and new TV point.
"Didn't award the job to him, as he didn't turn up for appointment (which I had left work early for) and didn't call to rearrange or apologise. When I called him next day to see if there was a problem, he made me wait even longer whilst he 'finished his dinner'! When he eventually called me back his excuse was that he forgot! Obviously cannot comment on his quailty or value (previous ratings would suggest that these are good), but very poor rating from me due to him wasting my time and treating me with disrespect."
